3. Information stored on your device

Zudoku saves some information locally on your phone or tablet using the device’s app storage (SharedPreferences). This data stays on your device and is not uploaded to GoldenMind servers. It includes:

• Campaign progress (completed levels)
• Daily puzzle completion and streak history
• Game settings (for example: sound, haptics, automatic marks, starter animal preference)
• Tutorial completion status
• Ad frequency counters used to control interstitial timing

If you uninstall the App or clear app data, this local information is deleted unless you back up your device through your operating system.

4. Information collected automatically

4.1 Firebase Analytics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used and to improve it. Firebase may collect information such as:

• Device type, operating system, and app version
• General usage events (for example: screens viewed, levels completed, daily puzzles completed)
• Approximate location derived from IP address (country/region level)
• Diagnostic and performance data

We do not use Firebase Analytics to collect your name, email address, or the contents of puzzles you solve. Analytics collection is disabled in debug builds of the App.

4.2 Advertising (Google AdMob)

Zudoku is free and supported by ads through Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may collect and use information to show and measure ads, including:

• Advertising ID (GAID on Android, IDFA on iOS where permitted)
• Device identifiers, IP address, and app activity related to ads
• Ad interaction data (for example: impressions, clicks, rewarded ad completions)

Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your choices and applicable law. Where required, the App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request your consent before serving ads. You can review or change ad privacy choices in the App under Settings → Ad privacy choices when that option is available.

On iOS, if the system asks for permission to track activity across apps and websites, that choice affects personalized advertising. Zudoku may use SKAdNetwork for privacy-preserving ad attribution on iOS.

5. What we do not collect

Zudoku does not:

• Require you to create an account or provide your name or email to play
• Access your camera, photo library, microphone, contacts, or calendar
• Collect precise GPS location
• Offer public profiles, chat, or social sharing inside the App
• Sell your personal information

6. How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide and operate the App and its features
• Save your progress and preferences on your device
• Display and measure advertising
• Understand usage through analytics and improve the App
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights

7. Sharing with service providers

We share information with third-party service providers only as needed to operate the App, including:

• Google LLC — Firebase Analytics and AdMob
• Apple / Google — app distribution platforms

These providers process data under their own privacy policies. We do not control their independent use of information.

8. International transfers

Service providers such as Google may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, appropriate safeguards apply under applicable law.

9. Retention

• On-device data is kept until you delete the App or clear its storage.
• Analytics and ad data retained by Google is governed by Google’s policies and your device settings.

10. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your information.

• Ad choices: Use in-app ad privacy settings (when shown) and your device’s ad personalization settings.
• Analytics: You may limit analytics through device or platform settings where available.
• Local data: Delete the App or clear app storage to remove on-device progress and settings.

If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Canada, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

11. Children’s privacy

Zudoku is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at info@goldenmind.io and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

The App contains advertising. Parents and guardians should review device and ad settings if the App is used by minors.

12. Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect information processed through our service providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
